Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 30, 2026 · Last Updated: September 30, 2026

Owned and operated by: EMNEX DIGITAL SOLUTIONS PLC (“EMNEX,” “Suqify,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

Suqify is a digital commerce and business infrastructure platform operated by EMNEX DIGITAL SOLUTIONS PLC. Suqify provides tools that may allow businesses and individuals to create and operate online stores, sell products and services, receive and manage orders, process payments through supported payment providers, manage customers, receive notifications, manage bookings and reservations, and use other business-management functionality made available through the platform.

This Privacy Policy explains how Suqify may collect, use, store, disclose, transfer, protect, and otherwise process information relating to users of Suqify and visitors to Suqify-powered websites and services.

By accessing, registering for, purchasing, subscribing to, or otherwise using Suqify, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and agree to the practices described in it to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, you should discontinue use of the applicable Suqify service.

1. Important Information

Suqify is a technology platform. Suqify may provide businesses with tools to independently operate their own stores, websites, catalogs, booking systems, customer databases, order systems, payment workflows, and other digital services.

A merchant using Suqify may independently determine:

  • What products or services it sells
  • What customer information it requests
  • What prices it charges
  • What delivery policies it uses
  • What refund or cancellation policies it applies
  • What communications it sends to customers
  • What content it publishes
  • What customer information it retains
  • How it fulfills orders
  • How it handles customer disputes

Accordingly, information submitted directly to a merchant through a Suqify-powered store may be controlled or processed by that merchant independently from Suqify. Suqify does not automatically become responsible for every decision, transaction, product, service, communication, representation, refund, delivery, or dispute conducted by an independent merchant.

2. Who We Are

Suqify is owned and operated by EMNEX DIGITAL SOLUTIONS PLC.

Suqify may operate websites, applications, APIs, dashboards, merchant tools, customer checkout pages, notification systems, and other digital services under the Suqify name.

For privacy-related questions, requests, concerns, or legal notices, users may contact the privacy team at the address listed at the bottom of this page.

3. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with Suqify, we may collect different categories of information. We do not necessarily collect every category listed below from every user.

3.1 Account Information

When creating or managing an account, we may collect:

  • Name, business name, username
  • Email address, telephone number
  • Account credentials or authentication information
  • Business information and profile information
  • Account preferences, language preferences, notification preferences
  • Subscription or plan information
  • Other information necessary to operate the account

4. Merchant Information

If you create or operate a store using Suqify, we may collect and process information necessary to provide merchant functionality, including:

  • Store name, description, contact information, logo, and images
  • Product information, prices, inventory, variants, and categories
  • Order information, customer information entered by the merchant
  • Delivery, booking, and staff information
  • Business analytics, payment configuration, domain information
  • Notification settings and store customization settings

Merchants are responsible for ensuring that information they collect from their customers is collected and processed lawfully.

5. Customer and Shopper Information

When a customer purchases from, contacts, books through, or otherwise interacts with a Suqify-powered merchant store, the relevant merchant may collect information such as name, telephone number, email address, delivery address, billing information, order information, product selections, booking information, communication history, and other information voluntarily provided. The exact information requested may vary between merchants.

Suqify may process this information to provide the technical infrastructure necessary to operate the merchant’s store and fulfill the requested transaction.

6. Payment Information

Suqify may integrate with third-party payment service providers, including Chapa. Where a third-party payment provider processes a payment, payment information may be transmitted directly to or processed by that provider.

Suqify may receive information necessary to confirm and reconcile a transaction, including transaction amount, currency, payment status, transaction reference, order reference, merchant reference, payment-provider response, date and time, and other transaction metadata.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Suqify does not require merchants or customers to provide their full payment-card credentials directly to Suqify. Payment providers may maintain their own privacy policies, security controls, terms, and data-processing practices.

7. Suqify Platform Payments

Where a customer purchases a Suqify-owned product, service, subscription, plan, or other Suqify offering, the transaction may be processed through Suqify’s designated payment infrastructure. Where a customer purchases from an independent merchant, the transaction may be processed through the merchant’s configured payment provider.

Suqify may maintain transaction records for accounting, fraud prevention, reconciliation, customer support, legal compliance, and operational purposes.

8. Order Information

When an order is created through a Suqify-powered store, Suqify may process information relating to that order, including order number, products purchased, quantity, product options, price, discounts, delivery information, customer contact information, payment and order status, merchant information, transaction references, timestamps, and refund or cancellation information.

9. Bookings and Reservations

Where Suqify provides booking, reservation, appointment, hotel, restaurant, event, service, or similar functionality, Suqify may process information required to administer the booking, including customer name, contact details, booking date and time, number of guests, service selected, special requests, payment status, and confirmation information.

The business operating the relevant service remains responsible for its own service delivery and customer relationship.

10. Communications and Notifications

Suqify may provide notifications through supported channels including email, SMS, Telegram, in-platform notifications, browser notifications, and other supported communication methods. Where a third-party communication provider is used, relevant information may be transmitted to that provider.

11. Telegram Notifications

Where a merchant enables Telegram notifications, relevant event information may be transmitted through Telegram or Telegram-related infrastructure, including order reference, order amount, product information, customer-provided information necessary for the notification, booking information, store information, and payment status.

Telegram is an independent third-party service governed by its own terms and privacy practices. Suqify is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, availability, security, or policies of third-party communication platforms.

12. Information We Collect Automatically

When you access Suqify services, certain technical information may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location derived from technical information, language, time zone, referring website, pages viewed, features used, session information, access times, error information, performance information, security-related information, and cookies and similar technologies.

13. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Suqify may use cookies, local storage, session technologies, pixels, tokens, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, maintain sessions, remember preferences, secure accounts, prevent fraudulent activity, analyze platform usage, improve performance, and customize certain functionality. Some cookies may be essential for the operation of the platform. Disabling certain cookies may cause some features to stop functioning correctly.

14. Logs and Security Data

Suqify may maintain technical logs for legitimate operational and security purposes, including login attempts, authentication events, IP addresses, device information, API requests, error logs, security events, account activity, administrative actions, payment events, and order events.

15. How We Use Information

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, Suqify may rely on consent, performance of a contract, steps necessary to enter into a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, protection of legitimate interests, prevention of fraud and abuse, protection of security, or other lawful bases permitted under applicable law.

17. Data Minimization

Suqify seeks to collect information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Because Suqify provides flexible infrastructure to independent businesses, the amount and type of information processed may vary. Merchants are responsible for configuring their stores appropriately and should avoid requesting unnecessary personal information from customers.

18. Merchant Responsibilities

Merchants are responsible for providing appropriate privacy notices to their customers, collecting information lawfully, requesting only information reasonably necessary, maintaining appropriate security, responding to customer privacy requests where legally required, handling customer information appropriately, complying with applicable laws, and maintaining appropriate retention periods.

19. Information Sharing

Suqify may disclose information to third parties when reasonably necessary to provide services or when permitted or required by law. Potential recipients may include payment processors, hosting providers, cloud infrastructure providers, database providers, security providers, analytics providers, communication providers, domain registrars, delivery or logistics providers, customer-support providers, professional advisers, auditors, government authorities, law-enforcement authorities, courts or tribunals, and service providers acting on our behalf.

20. Third-Party Service Providers

Suqify relies on third-party technologies and infrastructure to provide certain functionality. Third-party providers may process information according to their own contractual obligations and privacy policies. Suqify does not control the independent privacy practices of third parties.

21. Cloud Hosting and Database Services

Suqify may use cloud hosting, database, storage, security, and infrastructure providers to operate the platform. The use of third-party infrastructure does not mean that Suqify sells user information.

22. Data Retention

We may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for providing the requested service, maintaining accounts, completing transactions, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, security, legal compliance, tax and accounting requirements, enforcing agreements, backup and disaster recovery, and other legitimate operational purposes. When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymized, aggregated, archived, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law.

23. Backups

Suqify may maintain backups for operational continuity, disaster recovery, security, and reliability. Deleting information from an active account may not immediately remove every copy from backup systems.

24. Data Security

Suqify uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information, including authentication controls, access controls, encryption where appropriate, secure connections, monitoring, logging, rate limiting, security testing, backup systems, administrative controls, and infrastructure security. However, no internet service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

25. Security Incidents

If Suqify becomes aware of a security incident affecting personal information, we may investigate the incident and take reasonable steps required by applicable law, including containing the incident, investigating its cause, restoring affected systems, notifying relevant authorities where required, notifying affected users where required, and implementing additional security measures.

26. International Data Transfers

Because Suqify may rely on cloud and technology providers operating in different jurisdictions, information may potentially be processed or stored outside Ethiopia. Where applicable law regulates international transfers of personal information, Suqify will seek to use appropriate mechanisms or safeguards required by applicable law.

27. Data Subject Rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights relating to their personal information, including the right to know whether personal information is being processed, the right to request access, the right to request correction, the right to request deletion where legally applicable, the right to request restriction of processing, the right to object to certain processing, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

28. Requesting Data Access or Deletion

Users may contact Suqify through the official contact channel to request access, correction, deletion, or other applicable privacy rights. To protect accounts and personal information, Suqify may request reasonable information necessary to verify the identity of the person submitting a request. Suqify may decline or limit a request where permitted or required by law.

29. Merchant Customer Data

Where a customer purchases from a merchant using Suqify, the customer may need to direct certain privacy requests to the merchant operating the store. Suqify may assist merchants or customers where technically and legally appropriate.

30. Children and Minors

Suqify is not intended to knowingly collect unnecessary personal information from children. Merchants must not use Suqify to unlawfully collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Suqify in circumstances where it should not have been collected, please contact us.

31. Marketing Communications

Where legally permitted, Suqify may send service-related communications including account notices, security alerts, payment notifications, product updates, and important service announcements. Users may continue to receive essential transactional or security communications even after opting out of marketing communications.

32. Analytics

Suqify may use analytics and operational information to understand which features are used, how users interact with the platform, platform performance, errors, general usage patterns, and technical problems.

33. Aggregated and Anonymized Information

Suqify may create aggregated, statistical, or anonymized information from information collected through the platform. Where information has been properly anonymized, Suqify may use such information for analytics, research, product development, performance measurement, business planning, service improvement, and reporting.

34. Business Transfers

If EMNEX, Suqify, or substantially all of the relevant business or assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, investment, restructuring, sale, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of assets, information associated with the relevant services may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

Suqify may disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to lawful government requests, respond to court orders, protect users, protect EMNEX or Suqify, investigate fraud or abuse, prevent cyberattacks, enforce agreements, protect property and safety, and resolve disputes.

36. Fraud and Abuse Prevention

Suqify may monitor certain platform activity to identify or prevent fraud, payment abuse, account takeover, spam, automated attacks, fake orders, abuse of promotional systems, unauthorized access, malicious software, security threats, and other prohibited activity.

37. User-Generated Content

Users and merchants may upload or publish content through Suqify, including product images, descriptions, logos, store content, blog content, videos, documents, and other materials. Users are responsible for ensuring that content they upload does not unlawfully disclose another person’s personal information or violate applicable law.

38. Public Information

Information intentionally published publicly through a Suqify-powered store may become accessible to other people on the internet. Users should not publish confidential or sensitive information in publicly accessible fields. Suqify is not responsible for a merchant’s decision to publicly publish information.

39. Domain Names

If a user connects or purchases a custom domain through Suqify or a supported domain provider, domain-related information may be processed by the applicable registrar or infrastructure provider. Third-party domain providers may have their own privacy policies.

40. Third-Party Links

Suqify-powered stores or the Suqify platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications, services, or platforms. Suqify does not control third-party websites. Users should review the policies of third-party services before submitting personal information.

41. Merchant Responsibility for Third-Party Integrations

Merchants may connect third-party services to their Suqify stores, including payment providers, delivery providers, communication platforms, analytics tools, social-media services, domain providers, and business-management tools. Merchants are responsible for reviewing the privacy, security, and legal implications of integrations they activate.

42. No Sale of Personal Information

Suqify does not intend to sell personal information as a commercial data-broker business. However, information may be processed, transferred, disclosed, or shared with service providers where reasonably necessary to operate the platform, complete transactions, provide requested functionality, comply with law, protect security, or otherwise fulfill legitimate business purposes.

43. Data Accuracy

Suqify relies in part on information provided by users and merchants. We do not guarantee that user-provided information is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose. Users are responsible for maintaining accurate account and business information.

44. Platform Availability

Suqify is a technology service and may occasionally experience maintenance, outages, technical failures, network failures, infrastructure failures, third-party provider failures, security incidents, updates, service interruptions, or unforeseen events. Suqify does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of every service or feature at all times.

45. Changes to Features

Suqify may add, remove, modify, suspend, replace, or discontinue features. Where required by applicable law, appropriate notice may be provided.

46. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Suqify may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will indicate a revised effective or last-updated date. Continued use of Suqify after an updated policy becomes effective may constitute acknowledgment of the updated policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

47. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is intended to operate in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Where applicable, Ethiopian law may govern the processing of personal information conducted by an entity established in Ethiopia or otherwise within the scope of Ethiopian data-protection legislation.

48. Severability

If any provision of this Privacy Policy is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.

49. No Waiver of Legal Rights

Nothing in this Privacy Policy is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be removed, exclude mandatory legal protections, prevent a person from exercising statutory rights, or override mandatory requirements of applicable law.
